I’m the designer, but you’re the expert in your own business - so before my brain dives deep into design-mode, I need some things from you so I know exactly what we’re aiming for! Before our fortnight of design, I’ll ask you to:
sign a contract, choose a start date and pay a deposit - all the admin bits!
complete an in-depth brand questionnaire, so I can know all there is to know about your goals, your audience, your values and your brand personality
upload your website copy, graphics and photography into a shared Google Drive for me to access
put together a Pinterest board of photos, graphics, and anything else that represents the ~vibe~ you want for your website
But don’t worry, you’ll be sent a welcome pack detailing everything I need from you with templates and instructions. It may sound like a lot, but the more information I have, the better your website will be!

On the first day of our project, we’ll have a kick-off call to chat through your moodboard, your website goals, your customer journey and any ideas you have for your website. This is your chance to ask questions and give me your ideas, and my chance to get clarification on anything I need from you.
Then, I start designing!
I design the homepage of your website first, sending it to you as soon as possible for feedback and sign-off before working on the rest of your website pages.
Then I'll send you a first draft of your website in full so that you can see exactly how it’s shaping up.

Then it’s time for you to go through each page of the website and leave feedback, comments and revisions for me. The more specific you can be about what you love and what isn’t quite right, the better!
The next stage is all about revisions, so I’ll make any suggested changes, send the design back over to you, and ask for your feedback so that by the end of our time together, we have the website of your dreams designed.

By the end of our time together, you’ll have a website ready to launch! We’ll have a Launch Call to connect your domain, set up your Squarespace subscription and walk you through exactly how to use your site. Then it’s time for you to hit publish and share your shiny new website with the world!

I won’t leave you high and dry as soon as your final invoice is paid… After launch, you’ll have my personal support via Slack to iron out any issues and help you get comfortable with your website.
You’ll also get a Post-Launch Pack, which includes common FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and more, and you’ll also qualify for 10% off my Squarespace Design Days for any future edits you’d like me to handle.

Yes please! You can’t launch your website without website copy, branding or photography chosen - so it’s a good idea to gather all of those things before we start the Two-Week Website process.
If you don’t have the budget for professional photography, branding and copy, that’s fine – I can help with a text-based logo, favicon, mood palettes and fonts. We can use stock imagery for your website, and I also have some handy content planners to help you write your own copy.
I do think though that professional photos and copy make a huuuge difference to your website design’s end result! So if you’re in the market for professional photography and website copy, I have some lovely small businesses I can recommend to you, so just ask.

There’s a lot of collaboration in the website design process, so having good availability in our two weeks together is important.
I won’t need access to your brain 24/7, but the more prompt you can be with answering my questions and reviewing designs, the more time I can dedicate to the design work itself.
At the very least, you’ll need to be available on the first Monday morning for our kick-off call, the last Friday afternoon for our handover call, and you’ll need to have time over the weekend between the two weeks to thoroughly review and feed back on the website design.

If you want me to design your website, yes! I only work with Squarespace (because I love it and I think it’s the best platform for most small businesses), so the Two-Week Website will be designed and built in Squarespace.
If you’re not sure Squarespace is right for your business, I’ll be happy to talk through your concerns on a discovery call - if it really isn’t right for you, I’ll let you know and point you towards a designer better suited to your needs.

Absolutely! This is one of the reasons I use Squarespace for clients. The Squarespace platform is intuitive, easy to navigate and simple to edit - without needing to hire me for every change you want to make!
You’ll have a live handover lesson with me to walk you through the backend of your website and 30 days of support via Slack for specific questions, but Squarespace also has loads of really helpful guides and tutorials you can refer back to if you ever need to.
If there’s something you’re really struggling with after your website is launched, you can take advantage of 20% off my Squarespace Design Days too.

As part of the pre-project process, I’ll ask you to upload all your photography, branding and copy into a shared Google Drive folder so I can add everything straight into your website as I design it.
It’s also helpful to have a clear idea of the design direction you’re hoping for. A Pinterest board with inspo photos and examples of websites you love will help me to visualise your dream website and turn it into reality.

I understand that budgets can be tight for small businesses, so I offer interest-free payment options to make my website design packages as accessible as possible.
You can choose to pay 50% at the time of booking and 50% upon completion, or split the cost over 3 installments of 33% at booking, 33% before the project starts, and 34% upon completion.
Final payments are required on the last day of the Two-Week Website service, prior to handing over your website to you.
